Our Ziwi story starts in the green, free-range farms and blue, pristine Southern oceans of New Zealand. Our home place has a warm temperate climate, which allows us to use only animals that are free ranging, and grass fed, all year round. We want this beautiful corner of the world preserved for the future, that’s why we choose to only source from sustainably and humanely managed local farms. What does this mean for your pet? It means the cleanest, purest, most natural ingredients in the world, benefiting your pet for a long, happy, healthy life.

	Ziwi chooses to only source from humane, ethical and sustainably managed local farms.  We also work closely with the New Zealand Government to ensure that we not only meet, but exceed all regulatory standards required for ethical farming practices.
	Our home, New Zealand, has a temperate climate which allows ZIWI® to use only animals that are free ranging, and grass fed, all year round. Our Beef, Lamb & Venison are all sourced from free-range farms with no feed-lots, barns or cages. This natural feeding provides superior levels of beneficial nutrients and unsaturated fatty acids.
	As New Zealand is an island nation with strict bio-security there are no infectious animal diseases such as BSE (mad cow) or foot and mouth disease. Our small, remote location and our strict border security ensures New Zealand is at very low risk of infectious disease.
	All of our meat and seafood ingredients are sourced from export-certified facilities. Our quality control team works closely with all of our suppliers to ensure our ingredients not only meet, but exceed our stringent requirements.
	Our fish is caught in the Southern oceans of New Zealand and strictly managed by the New Zealand government to ensure maximum sustainability. New Zealand's seafood industry has been ranked the most sustainably managed fishery in the world, twice!
	We are proud to be 100% family owned by New Zealanders. Our factory is located in the beautiful small coastal town of Mount Maunganui in the North Island of New Zealand.
